1. Purpose and service boundary
MJCarePair is an independent subscription-based connection service designed to help eligible medical marijuana patients and caregivers discover and communicate with one another. MJCarePair does not sell, possess, manufacture, transfer, deliver, price, advertise inventory for, or process payment for cannabis. Membership fees purchase access to platform services only.
2. Eligibility
You must satisfy the eligibility requirements presented for your role and jurisdiction, provide truthful information, and maintain any registration or credentials required by applicable law. The Michigan pilot is designed for eligible Michigan Medical Marihuana Program participants. MJCarePair verification is a platform access control and is not state certification, endorsement, or a replacement for government registration.
3. Account registration and security
You are responsible for accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and activity performed through your account. You may not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, share an account to bypass eligibility controls, or attempt to defeat verification or security measures.
4. Verification and continuing accuracy
MJCarePair may request information needed to verify identity and role eligibility and may require re-verification when information expires or changes. Caregivers must keep patient-capacity information accurate, including relevant patient relationships established outside MJCarePair. Patients must keep their caregiver-status information accurate. MJCarePair may restrict matching while verification or eligibility is unresolved.
5. Profiles, discovery, and service areas
Members must provide accurate profile information. Caregiver service counties should identify areas the caregiver actually intends to serve. Medicine-category and other compatibility tags are descriptive matching information only; they are not menus, inventory, current availability, prices, quantities, or offers to sell cannabis.
6. CarePair requests and messaging
A patient may request a connection and a caregiver may accept or decline. Acceptance creates a CarePair and permits private platform messaging. A CarePair reflects mutual interest in communicating; it does not establish, change, or terminate a formal government caregiver relationship. Members remain responsible for completing any required state process before relying on legal protections associated with a caregiver relationship.
7. Membership and billing
Proposed Michigan pilot pricing is $5 per month for patients and $20 per month for caregivers. Registration, verification, and subscription billing are not active on this informational preview; final pricing and billing terms remain subject to review before launch. Membership is separate from verification and state registration. MJCarePair may support pause, resume, cancellation, and past-due states. Unless separately stated in a production billing policy, cancellation stops future access according to the applicable billing cycle and does not purchase, reserve, or entitle a member to cannabis.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not use MJCarePair to conduct prohibited cannabis commerce, publish menus or prices, coordinate delivery or cannabis payments, harass or threaten others, spam members, misrepresent identity or eligibility, solicit unlawful activity, exploit another person, evade blocks or suspensions, scrape member data, interfere with platform security, or use the service contrary to applicable law. The Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines are incorporated into these rules.
9. Safety, reports, and moderation
Members may block and report other members. MJCarePair may review reports and account metadata, restrict features, suspend accounts, or deactivate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce platform rules, protect users, investigate misuse, or comply with law. Moderation decisions do not guarantee that every risk or violation will be detected.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. You agree not to misuse another member's personal information or disclose it outside the platform without a lawful basis and appropriate consent.
11. No professional advice or guarantee
MJCarePair does not provide legal, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Verification and matching do not guarantee compatibility, conduct, product quality, legal compliance, availability, or a successful caregiver relationship. Members are responsible for their own decisions and for obtaining professional advice when appropriate.
12. Availability and changes
Features may change as the service develops. MJCarePair may modify or discontinue features, update pricing prospectively, or revise these terms. Materially revised legal documents should receive a new version so the platform can record the version accepted by each member.
13. Intellectual property
MJCarePair's software, branding, interface, and original content are owned by or licensed to MJCarePair. You retain responsibility for content you submit and grant MJCarePair the limited rights reasonably necessary to host, display, transmit, moderate, and operate that content as part of the service.
14. Termination
You may stop using the service and cancel membership subject to available account controls. MJCarePair may suspend or deactivate access for rule violations, eligibility failures, safety concerns, fraud, legal requirements, or material risk to the service or its members.
15. Final legal provisions pending counsel
Before launch, qualified counsel should finalize entity identification, governing law, dispute-resolution terms, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, notice procedures, refund language, and any additional Michigan-specific provisions.
