What is MJCarePair?
MJCarePair is a planned subscription-based introduction service intended to help eligible Michigan medical marijuana patients and caregivers discover compatible people and communicate after mutually agreeing to connect. The service is not yet open for registration.
Is MJCarePair a dispensary or cannabis marketplace?
No. MJCarePair is not designed to sell, list, price, order, deliver, possess, or process payment for cannabis. Planned membership fees would pay only for access to the introduction service.
Who is the Michigan pilot intended for?
The planned Michigan pilot is intended for eligible adults participating in the Michigan Medical Marihuana Program as patients or registered caregivers, subject to eligibility and verification requirements that must be finalized before launch.
How is verification expected to work?
The planned service would require identity and role-appropriate MMMP credential verification before members receive matching access. The production verification process and privacy disclosures are still being finalized.
Does platform verification mean State of Michigan endorsement?
No. MJCarePair is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency. Any future platform verification would be an MJCarePair eligibility control, not state certification.
How would patients search by county?
The planned matching experience would let caregivers identify Michigan counties they intend to serve and let patients search those service areas. County-search behavior may change before launch.
What are medicine categories?
Flower, concentrates, vapes, edibles, topicals, and tinctures are proposed general compatibility tags. They would not represent inventory, current availability, pricing, quantities, or offers to sell cannabis.
When would members be able to message each other?
Under the planned design, private messaging would open only after a patient sends a CarePair request and the caregiver accepts it. Messaging is not available on this informational preview.
Would a CarePair change my MMMP caregiver registration?
No. A CarePair would be a platform connection only. It would not establish, change, or terminate a formal MMMP caregiver relationship. Any required state process would remain separate.
What safety features are planned?
The proposed member service includes reporting, blocking, and ending CarePairs. These features are not available on this informational preview and remain subject to development and testing.
What are the planned membership prices?
The proposed Michigan pilot prices are $5 per month for patients and $20 per month for caregivers. Registration, verification, and subscription billing are not active on this preview; pricing and billing terms must be finalized before launch.
Would members be able to pause or cancel?
The planned service includes membership pause and cancellation controls. Their final operation and billing terms will be confirmed before subscriptions become available.
Can caregivers have patients outside MJCarePair?
The planned platform would ask caregivers to report current MMMP patient relationships relevant to their capacity, including relationships established outside MJCarePair. Platform participation would not replace state registration requirements.
How would personal information be handled?
MJCarePair is being designed to limit information shown in matching profiles and restrict access to sensitive verification information. Final collection, retention, security, and privacy practices must be documented before member registration opens.
